Your new website may appeal to many and may not to some users. So your best bet is to choose a particular segment of the users and focus your efforts to attract and engage these users. You need to analyze who are the users that are likely be interested in the content or your products and services. Which of these users are you able to provide products or services? Knowing your audience definition will influence every aspect of your website design and development. For example which languages will best serve your audience, where to advertise your website, keywords to include in the content so that your site will turn up in search engine results pages, whether your website design need to be playful or scholarly, pictorial or language oriented, input and output media should include voice, visual, or both etc.
