Initiation
Project initiation phase is confirmation of the need for the project deliverables and describing deliverables, costs and benefits to be obtained by implementing the deliverables. In initiation phase decision is made by the project owners to go ahead with the project or no go. A formal go by the project owners is the start of the project and then starts project planning, execution, monitoring & controlling, and close out.
