Pay per click (PPC) is a form of internet advertising on search engines, partner networks, and other websites. In PPC advertising model advertisers only pay when a user actually clicks on an advertisement to visit their website. Advertisers typically bid on keywords or phrases relevant to their target audience. When a user types keywords or phrase in search engine's search term bar or field, search engines display relevant ads on search engine result pages in the side or on top or bottom of the page or anywhere on partner websites where webmaster chooses to place such ads by search engines. Advertisers usually bid an amount to display ads depending upon the competition. Some websites may offer a fixed price advertisement model. PPC ads shown on the top of result pages should not be confused with natural rankings that may be result of your search engine optimization process.
